Last night i tried to down load a site to clean my computer and speed it up. (Reimage)

all my files have been delated. and when i tried to load photos up. It cleaned my card.

I have lost a lot of stuff. Tried rebooting. but never worked. i all so have a radio station that keeps.

popping up. and can't turn it off. (burst of radio that last 2/3 secands)

I'm not very good with computers. so any advice will be welcome.

I don't want to buy a new pc. As i need the money. To get back to patts as soon as possible.

Did you nick the prog from somewhere and get an unwanted extra for free?

 

Sounds like you need some hands on help to me.

 

Have you tried System Restore yet, though that probably won't bring back your files.

 

First step is to get rid of the nasty you seem to have copped for.

 

After that Photo Recovery might fetch back some files...maybe.

Reboot to safe mode then ctrl alt delete to see what's running in the background. Take note and post them so I can see. Also goto start run and type in msconfig this will tell you what progs are running on startup

Sounds like you need some hands on help to me.

Reimage are a respected firm. It was my boss who recemended them. He use's them and they are good.

sent them an email. and they told me. my security was turned off while making. the download.(So may of picked up a bug)

They are offering me a refund. if they can't fix the problem.

Think it is some thing i have done.

Yeo Safe Mode the way to go and make sure you click work off line First and run hopefully something like Spybot ,Windows defender AVG or some other Malware Program you SHOULD already have loaded

 

Then report back with what is found

Problems myself yesterday some trojan called sirefef, affected everything. Cleaned and lucky enough I had a backup

Download Kaspersky 10 live boot cd and scan for viruses (virii??) and see what you come up with.

Could be that partition table or boot sector of the drive is unreadable...

 

With the live CD you can at least mount the drive and copy all your stuff of it before you restore it if all else fails...

Beware of just letting the TukCom folk do a clean install using a pirate Windows copy if yours is genuine.

That may make sure your stuff is gone if it's not partitioned.

 

That's if you're in Pattaya of course.
