Ipad3 - Connecting to Internet in Pattaya

Has anybody encountered any difficulties/problems using an Ipad3 (especially when connecting to the internet) with a locally purchased micro-sim?

No problems at all it's the same as iPhone 4s. What issues u havin

Thanks for the reply; no issues as of yet as I was just considering bringing my Ipad3 in lieu of a laptop for my impending trip, noting my hotels wifi is absolutely awful (very slow and intermittent) and was curious if the locally purchased micro-sims (etc one-2-one) were reasonably effective.

A friend just arrived & got a 3G prepay card from DTAC. It was 400baht for the month (data only) & he seems happy with it.

I use prepaid dtac and true 3g.

Last year dtac 3g was not really functionnal everywher and true was good in pat and bkk.

This year, true is really not working in 3g very well (no 3g the day of my arrival, no 3g in khon kaen, etc...)

Dtac work perfectly this year and seems to have coverage everywhere I went (pty, bkk, kk)

 

Depending on the package that you chose, you receive also free wifi. True wifi is in central. Dtac i'm still searching where they are.
