The bodies of Noemi Belanger and her sister Audrey Belanger were discovered in a hotel in Phi Phi, Thailand on Friday.

 

 

Two Canadian sisters were discovered in their hotel room covered in vomit and skin lesions on Friday, and Thailand police fear they may have been the victims of an apparent poisoning.

Investigators said they believed Audrey and Noemi Belanger, aged 20 and 26, of Quebec, were dead for more than 12 hours before their bodies were found by hotel staff on Phi Phi Island, a popular tourist hideaway some 500 miles south of Bangkok, according to the Phuket Gazette.

Lt. Colonel Rat Somboon of the Krabi Provincial Police reportedly said both bodies showed "similar signs of trauma" and appeared to have been poisoned.

"There was a lot of vomit in the room... they had skin lesions and it seemed that they had bled from the gums," Rat told the Phunket Gazette. “Also, their fingernails and toenails were blue.”

The pair had eaten meals outside the hotel, Rat said.

The pair checked into the Phi Phi Palms Residence hotel on Tuesday and were seen coming in and out later that night, the Phunket Gazette reported.

They were not seen on Wednesday and no one in their room answered a maid's knock on Thursday.

yes but what about the other 2 persons possibe 2 girls i think as well which died there as well few years back with no trace of how they died in a near by guest house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. had a look there is more than 2 strange deaths in phi phi over the last few years.

Agree with Dave the two that died a few years ago was believed from the hotel using chemicals to kill bed bugs, that's what I had thought
