where to unlock my phone

I am flying out to pattaya soon from the uk, and am thinking of bringing my old mobile phone (nokia x6) out with me, but its locked to the virgin network. where in pattaya can i take my phone to get it unlocked and buy a thai sim card and get it set up

Have you tried just calling Virgin Mobile and asking them for the unlock code? If you are not under contract with Virgin (with that phone) sometimes they will just give you the code ...

 

Unlike other brands, every Nokia phone has exactly the same unlocking mechanism, be it 1661, X6, C3 or whatever.

Simply switch on your phone WITHOUT a SIM card and type the following:

 

First type #PW+CODE+

type 1

Now type # to confirm.

 

That's It! If the code is correct, your phone should be unlocked by now.

Yeah and also note:

 

The letter P appear after press 3 times quickly the button star ( * )

The letter W appear after press 4 times quickly the button star ( * )

The letter + appear after press 2 times quickly the button star ( * )

of course this site ants to sell you the code ... but... SOMETIMES the carrier it is locked to will give you the code.

Plenty of places in the uk to get it un locked for £5. then you can get a sim at the airport, free from true move desk and your up and running from the off.
