car or bike insurance question

Whats the script with insurance over here?. the gf doesnt have a licence or insurance and is very laid back about this!

 

we want a pick-up soon and i aint driving around without insurance here, no way!

Three classes of insurance. Class 3 very basic - Class 1 fully comprehensive.

 

My gf owns our pick-up but doesn't have a license so I drive it. As she is the owner she insured it Class 1 allowing any driver that has a valid license. I have a Thai license.

All vehicles should have compulsory insurance it is a prerequisite to get the road tax paper. It only provides limited cover for injury or death to third parties. 1st class insurance is roughly equivalent to comprehensive in the UK and should cover you for everything.
