Hi

 

Can anyone help me with locating a SIM card that has both voice and data service? I bought a "Happy Internet SIM", however, despite turning on using *3000* code, the data service does not seem to work.

 

Can someone help me with making this work or recommend a SIM card that does?

Happy Internet Sim. Should have Voice and data. I have a Happy Internet Sim in my Android Desire phone and everything work well. Happy Internet Sim is very good because I can receive call and sms in Denmark.

 

Use the code *3000#

Data service wont work until you put in the correct APN settings into your phone. That's how I got my ais netsim 3G to work. You can google for happy APN settings, or Grizzly can post them.

Anyone know how to get the actual option to change APN it's not on the new iPhone 4s I gave to gf it's a sim free phone not bought in Thailand.

I have an unlocked android phone, but I've seen a few youtube vids for setting apns in iphones

I think i'll just do what the other guys suggested, get it setup right at airport. Hand the phone over to the guys at the counter. They'll figure it out.

 

Did that this trip on arrival at Bkk, AIS didn't take long and far easier than for me to do it in a jet lagged state!

Once you have your phone set up for LOS, use an app called apnmanager. It allows you to save/restore APN settings quickly when you swap between sim cards.

Me too I bought a card at 7-11 once and it did not work. Now I always go to the DTAC store just after baggage claim. They get it working for you.

You need to end a shortcode with # not with another *. That's probably your main problem.

 

APN settings on your iPhone should autoset from the provider SIM, as long as it's an authorized provider. DTAC is, so you should be okay.

 

I prefer TRUE (now, TRUE H+) better service and speeds on 3G, IMO.

Forget the apps. As stated above, your SIM should take care of it, or alternatively hook your iPhone 4S up to wifi, and browse here:

Here are the settings to use DTAC data services:

 

APN: www.dtac.co.th

Proxy: 203.155.200.133

Port: 8080

MCC: 520

MNC: 18

APN Type: default
