LK President - a Lottellee Winna Review

Intro: My first Pattaya trip of 2026 was coming towards its end. It was checkout time at my hotel the Sirin Exclusive in Pratumnak. An absolutely top stay… couldn’t recommend it more highly. Packed my stuff up in two lots - first my golf clubs and clothes/shoes, etc which I keep in Pattaya… these I took up to the new locker I rented. Then I collected together the rest of my stuff and carrying hand luggage only, I checked out. Got a bolt car down into town for my final night in Pattaya, I was staying in the city centre at the LK President. This was a bit of a last minute thought, as I had initially intended spending this last day of my trip in Bangkok.

Location. Third road is where LK President is to be found, right at the top of Soi Lenkee to be precise.

Image: I remember the first time that I saw this hotel, it had a familiar and imposing look about it. I’m trying to think of where it reminded me of and then it struck me, it was the Soviet era palace of culture building in Warsaw. This is a hotel that’s not really my bag… not to say in any way that it’s bad because it’s not. It’s just that when I was a business executive, I used to stay at big corporate hotels all the time, so in retirement I much prefer smaller 4/5 ⭐️ boutique type hotels.

 

Reception - you can tell from the get to go that this is an up marketplace. The reception is all glass and marble. It definitely gives you the wow factor. The check-in ladies were nice, but when I booked with Agoda (as I always do) I don’t expect to have to show a receipt…I expect that to be on the hotel system. That said, the issue was quickly sorted…then they made me an offer (a) they would let me check in at midday, however they said  they only had twin bed room immediately available, or (b) if I wanted a king room, I would have to wait till 2 PM. Well normally I would’ve waited for the king room, however as this is my last day, and that as I had already made an ‘appointment’ at a certain GC for 5pm, I decided I had no real need of a king bed.

Rooms - If you are expecting a modern room with all modern conveniences then you won’t be disappointed. The room design is very corporate (say compared to somewhere like the Amber which is more hip and fresh) The room however does get the basics right, full wardrobe closet and not just a hanging rail, which for a ‘neat freak’ like me it’s bloody annoying having your kit spread out on random surfaces.

There is a large modern safe, a decent size refrigerator and modern flat screen smart television with enough channels for me. There also was enough power outlets to charge my devices. The rooms are opened by electronic cards and the key needs to be placed into the holder in your room to power the electricity. I particularly appreciated being given2 room cards, which means you can keep your devices topped up all day as well as the room being cool 24/7. Note the bathroom configuration - sink in room, separate loo and shower rooms…top design. Great power shower with hot water.

The room I booked this time was ‘pool side’ on a high floor. At around 30sqm, was spacious enough for me and had decent accessible balcony and a stunning view across the city).  The bed was large and comfy enough to sleep on (including the pillows). The AC worked well, can’t comment on the TV as I don’t watch it when on holiday.

Facilities - The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers. There is also a small gym.  The hotel has several speedy elevators and I never waited more than a minute or so.

Customer Service - The staff were nice and accommodating. Everyone is very friendly and chatty.

Guest Policy - The receptionist is respectful to any guests you might invite back to your ‘loom’…no guest charges (for one visitor), ID cards are supposed to be handed in.

Security - is good and I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. 

Cleanliness - The place is clean as a whistle, the staff are fine in terms of giving you extra towels etc...as always guys consider leaving a daily tip for the hard working cleaner.

Noise - There are some reports that front facing rooms can be noisy, however, my side facing room was very quiet indeed. Also I never saw large groups of lads, or pissed up drama merchants screaming all night.

Criticisms - I only stayed one night so it’s hard to make a judgment, I do have two criticisms, but these are about my preferences rather than necessarily anything wrong with the hotel (1) I’m not keen on large corporate hotels, my preference as stated above is for small boutique hotel hotels, (2) while the location is not too far from Buhakow, I didn’t enjoy crossing the road - 4-6 lanes of traffic.

Price - I got this at the decent price of 1,700 THB (high season and via an Agoda offer).

Overall -  this property is one that I rated (with the exception of the criticisms mentioned above) and might consider staying in again. Note that check in is at 2.00pm, but if you ask nicely you might get in before then (I did). This is a hotel with a reputation for coach loads of Chinese, got to say however, I personally didn’t see any.  US, Aussie, European and particularly Korean golfing guests seemed to dominate.  IMHO this is a good hotel for those who enjoy 4 star and who want to be near (although not on top of ‘the action’).

This is very useful. I'd shortlisted LKP but felt I'd read somewhere that the interior had become tired and shabby - clearly not!

Also, proper wardrobes are a big deal!

Maybe OK for one night but I wouldn't fancy having to cross third road constantly if staying there longer.

I've visited Kings Club and the Bongkot GCs, from the opposite direction, a few times and always dread the third road crossing.

Couldn't agree more that it's "simply" on the wrong side of Third Road for longer stays if your preferred area is Buakow/2nd Road and Beach Road.

When they have a gig on where KFC is on the north facing side, you can have the windows rattling till 3.

I have moved on after staying there at least ten times. The rooms are being refurbished but from time to time you'll get tile cutting noise during the day. I normally pay 1200 low season and 1400 high season but they are a bit overly flexible on bringing in the low season rate and need telling off. Staff are very good, breakfast a bit pricey but loads of choice. Pool a bit odd shape and depths and doesn't get much sun, good for your cancer, but cold on your balls. Only other thing is lifts can be a bit slow at certain times of day.

Lottlee should be adept at crossing Third road based on his Glaswegian upbringing. Just put your hand out with slow moving cars, 9 times out of 10 they'll stop and let you go. If all else fails, stay on the same side as the hotel and go to Soi Bong Khot 8!

Sounds great for someone who wants to live comfortably while  spending a week or two exploring Babylon, Bongkot and the Arunotai areas.

I like the sound of a pool with plenty of shade too.

can you give some more specifics about the noise in the room (noise level, open vs. closed windows)? 

All the video reviews I watched say the poolside rooms are actually the noisiest (apparently xzyte square is the main culprit with music until 4AM).

Noise would be the only downside of the LK for me vs. the Arbour where I also hesitate to stay.

Thanks for another review, you are the best. This one seems like a great hotel. From video reviews it seems like they have an above average gym. Also joiner policy seems to be 18+.

 

For the next trip seems to be a bit expensive but might book it later this year.

I was only there for one night….absolutely no issue with noise. Daytime on the balcony with window open you can hear the traffic a bit, but evenings with the window closed in bed no problem at all.

I've looked at this hotel a few times and the only thing that has stopped me booking is 3rd rd traffic.Always thought it might be a problem when a wee bit pished.

Nice review. I have walked past this hotel many times since it was built and often wondered to myself what its like. Now I know. There may be other reviews of it here on the board, but this is the first one I have seen.
