As I was walking around Pattaya last night I saw a girl and a moto taxi driver in a heated argument on beach road.  They were shouting at each other but it hadn't turned physical.  I moved on after a minute because I didn't want to end up in the middle if it did get physical.  But then I actually did think is there 911 to call here if something happens?  Not sure if there is but this app seems an alternative if not.

Has anyone downloaded this and used it?

Thailand’s numbers are 191 for ambulance or police, 199 for fire. The tourist police might be your best bet to get an English speaker. Its number is 1155.

i told 911 will work just about anywhere from a smart phone. It uses its gps to call forward to the correct emergency call center.

I tried to download the app and it's not compatible with later versions of Android.

If your app store is geolocked, it will be difficult to install.

The option here is to sideload the apk.

To do this download from https://m.apkpure.com/tourist-police-i-lert-u/com.arunsawad.touristilu to your phone.

When you go to install it, you might get a message to the effect of unknown sources. You will get an option to correct this in settings.

Looks like a good app. One of those no use until you need then solid gold.
