What is the entrance to the China Garden rooms like, is it through the restaurant or is there a separate entrance?

This is the new entrance, hotel guests can use their key card to enter Steak & Co room's (China Garden) or Smokin' Joe's room, on the first floor we are making an opening connecting the two building, all 18 rooms will then be accessible from either entrance.   The old China Garden reception window will still be open 24/7 but guests coming or leaving the rooms have the choice of either entrance, therefore wont have to pass the back of our kitchen at Steak & Co etc.

 

There will be someone at reception 24/7 for taking copies of ID's or late checkin's on the Steak & Co side (China Garden)  

 

We accept Visa & Mastercard too ... there is still a little decorating going on upstairs thus the dust / dirty entrance

Can someone explain me the difference between the guesthouse and the hotel ?

I always imagine a guesthouse as an hoStel with shared showers, dormitory, which could be very imcompatible with mongering...

 

Please feel free to enlighten me

As others have said, it is about amenities. At a guesthouse, you will get a room with maid serice, wifi and not much else. At a hotel you can have a pool, room service, a lift, bell boy, 24 hour reception, etc.  I would sometimes stay a LK Mansion, it is now well worn but it is a hotel (pool, room service, etc.) but often on Agoda at the price of a guesthouse. Has too much of a roach problem now to go back.

They will be available, they will be booked on the China Garden website www.chinagardenpattaya.com and will be the same rates, I'll post pictures of the rooms once they are completed.
