Hi,

 

It has been about four years since I've last visited Pattaya. Last time I stayed at Sunshine Residences on Soi 8.

 

I will be spending 5 nights in Pattaya early November and this time would like to stay closer to Walking Street (last time I mainly spent nights at the beer bars near Soi 8).

 

How does the Penthouse hotel fair? Any pros/cons?

Have previously asked about this hotel but no one seems too keen on it?, or is willing to supply any firsthand experience. Apparently its somewhat part/entrance of boyztown if that's ya thing.

 

Look like fun rooms though!

Not really my thing but the rooms look fun and good proximity to Walking Street.

 

All the reviews I find on Agoda, TripAdvisor etc seem to be pretty positive.

Never stayed there, but inquired in person a few times about the walk-in rate. Always got the story that the least expensive rooms were fully booked & that only the more expensive rooms were available at the walk-in rate.

 

Have read complaints about cockroaches &  complaints that they charge for the usually-free sundries such as soap & shampoo. Probably a good idea to buy your own sundries at Mike's.

 

Location is certainly the gate to Boyz Town, but is also convenient to WS. The attached GG is reportedly more LB than anything else.

 

Have wanted to book online, but their website is totally offputting. You must pay 100% upfront for a short stay & 50% upfront for a longer stay. Their refund policies are totally asshole.

 

Somehow, though, the place has an intriguing aura. I keep trying to talk myself into staying there but have not succeeded yet.

After running some calculations it will cost basically the same to book with Agoda and only have to pay a week or so in advance (rather than paying now with their dodgy looking web portal).

 

The room I am looking at is quite pricey (at $180 a night) but their policy is two guests with no cover charge.

 

If I do end up booking I'll be sure to write a decent review on here.

A ladyboy bar is right downstairs if it is your thing. Loud music play till 2 or 3am. Like the other BM said, right at Boyztown.

Recommend you stay at Secrets or Heaven Above (Galaxy Suites)... I stayed in both places and they are decent rooms for the price... They are right off of Walking Street if that is where you want to be, with bars downstairs (Heaven Above being an AGoGo and Secrets has decent food and a laid back feel in their bar)... Also, I am fairly certain SugarBaby AGoGo on Walking Street has rooms that have recently been remodeled and that is right ON Walking Street (the owner/manager is a BM and had a thread on his rooms, although I don't see them on the SugarBaby Web site)... So newer rooms than the other two places and right ON Walking Street... I would much prefer any of those 3 places than PentHouse (a much older venue) and that area isn't all that great IMHO, unless you are looking for LadyBoy action and/or want to be close to BoyzTown...

check out diamonds hotel, stayed there yrs ago...was ok, nothing fancy, but right in the middle of WS if that is your thing.

iv stayed there afew times its fun for afew nites if u wana look at your self shagging the girls or get them to dance on th podiam or try the swing n there toys n porn chennels on the big tv, but don't go into ther gogo u just get hassle frm the girls n ladyboys, always go towords beach rd if you don't wana go past the boys town...enjoy

penthouse hotel is a full on mongers hotel ... mirrors on the ceilings , sex swings , porn on the tv   the works. stayed there for a few nights of fun but it can be a bit over bearing.

 

but good fun.

 

we use to hire suites there for impromptu parties filling the Jacuzzi with girls and let rip.  was when most of the gogo in the street where girl agogo

 

if you have never stayed there I would stay somewhere else and go and check it out and line it up for next time it is one of a kind hotel

I stayed there for 4-5 nights on my first trip...  they have a bad rep here for spamming, so the actual word pen thou se has been blocked for the entire time I have been a member here, perhaps the block got removed during the last upgrade that just happened?

 

it was ok, but it's a full on sleaze orgy type room with stripper pole and sex swing... the girls I brought back didn't seem to excited to use that shit, and I never bothered.

 

I would go back for a special evening if the mood arose, I did not see cockroaches, it was an ok place... downstairs the gogo is ladyboys and girls, that was interesting for a new guy, I did find two cute young girls that I barfined for a couple of nights in a row...

I've stayed there once, never again. The novelty items are cute at first but wear off very quickly, then you realize you're paying a premium to stay at a dumpy, old, fire trap in Boyztown. Low quality accommodation, hence the need for all the gimmicks, 'they don't get much repeat business.

 

Instead of trying to improve the property and service, the management chooses to spend a lot of time on false Internet marketing, posting fake positive reviews while claiming to be satisfied customers.

If you love the smell of stale cat piss, you are in luck. It is included with the price, no extra charge!

 

Stayed there back in 2009. Couldn't pay me to set foot back in there.

who are their main customers?

is it a mix or higher percentage of lb, and boyztown peeps?

not that it matters, peoples orientation is of no interest to me, but just curious with it being in that location with that styling.

A Penthouse Room.

Stayed there a few years back, certainly a different experience. First night there went back to the room with a dancer from downstairs and as we opened the door saw an reflection in the mirror. inside was a lady boy who had jumped across the balcony to escape an irate punter who found to his horror the two meat and veg when going for the grope. She/he had settled in well making use of my bed, even found her shoes in the bed. Nothing stolen and the manager chucked her/him out and full of apologies, upgraded to bigger room with direct access to the pool, a good move 'cos on several occasions some of the girls came upstairs and a great time was had (by me) at no extra charge. All in all it was good fun and a different experience not sure about noa with all the ladyboys in the bar.

I can definately second that their cancellation policy is 100% Asshole. Even now with 2 months notice they would only give 45% refund or if I moved my dates instead of cancellation it would be 85% "refund" so basically 15% just to change the dates. So im just going to bite the bullet and spend 21 days in this place and make the best of it! Since I will have the time will write up a nice review.

Breakfast is buffet style. They keep it out a long time so unless you're up early it's been sitting there for hours. If you want a good breakfast Baywatch Cafe and Lewinskii's are near by.

I haven't had the Buffet for many years but at that time they fried the eggs specially for you.
