I noticed if you are on the east coast in the states, its much cheaper to get a direct flight to LAX then to BKK then from an Airport on the eastcoast to BKK... you end up saving about $300-500... but with those prices you could save a lot more.

Having flow CZ multiple times from LAX these prices are excellent!

 

Although i prefer their late evening departure the arrival time in BKK (mid-morning) is great.

Unfortunately I already booked on EVA for March for $790...China Southern is showing $617 for the same dates with midnight departure from LAX
