Car rental in Sakon Nakhon city

Hi All

 

Was wondering if anybody can recommend any car rental company in Sakon Nakhon city or with a pickup option there, with full insurance so I don't have to worry if I have any accidents / problems.

 

Also do I need to have an international driving license for everything to be legit ?

I think that an IDP is adequate but a Thai driving licence is preferable. Not sure about any rental places in Sakhon Nakhon but Udon Thani is a large-ish city and isn't too far away so it might be worth looking there? I would imagine you would have more choice in Udon Thani.
