Airfare from NYC to Bangkok

Ok i have a question and looking for opinions. Im looking at airfare the end of FEB from NYC, and im getting prices of 823 on Emirates from JFK. and also getting prices of 984 from Cathay Pacific out of Newark NJ. 

 

 Now heres the question, I am a FF with Cathay Pacific and Newark is closer to my home, or do i save the 150 and go out of JFK???? i do get miles with Cathay and not with Emirates. Also the flights are better with Cathay. I mean leaving earlier and getting to BKK earlier.

I think Cathay makes more sense in this case when factoring in the convenience

You answered your own question. Plus, you don't have to fly into places where they wash their feet in the restroom sink. Hong Kong is so much better.
