LK Royal Suite - Standard Room any good?

I have booked 14 nights at the LK Royal Suite in a standard room for the end of January 2015.

 

I have read several reviews on Agoda.com and the reviews are a bit mixed.

 

This will be my 3rd trip to Pattaya.

 

First trip I stayed at the QV on Soi 6 and my second trip I stayed at the Jasmine hotel on Soi BJ.

 

I was happy enough with the QV room but the bathroom at the Jasmine left a lot to be desired, never mind the building work which was

 

being carried out at the time.

 

 

Has anyone stayed in a LK Royal Suite standard room lately, and if you have, was it any good?

 

Any comments would be appreciated.

The standard rooms are in a separate building, so you will have to walk across the road for breakfast and use the pool etc.  I have only stayed in the main building!

I prefer Royal wing which is behind royal suite. Cheaper and nicer rooms

Totally agree. Much better value at the LK Royal Wing. Just 2 minutes walking distance up the little soi and brand new rooms of a much better standard with a nice swimming pool on the roof (you can also use the swimming pool at the LK Royal Suite).

I have just had a quick look at some pictures of the LK Royal Wing on Agoda.

 

Rooms look really good.

It is about four years since I stopped in the standard rooms at LK Royal Suite but at that time the rooms were very meh. As has been said the Royal Wing is much better value.

My booking at the LK Royal Suite has now been cancelled.

 

I have now booked April Suites for my January trip.

 

LK Royal Wing looks good, but was going to more expensive than LK Royal Suite.

 

Hopefully it will be cheaper for my September 2015 trip.

 

I will quite happily stay at the Royal Wing if the price is right.
