VTSix Condo Service at View Talay 6

VTSix Condo Service is one of several agencies that rents out condos on a short-term basis in View Talay 6 (2nd Road near Central Festival Mall). I've used their services several times, both for myself and when arranging accommodation in Pattaya for friends and family. I can highly recommend VTSix. The staff is very helpful and offer nice condo-style rooms at reasonable prices. You can read more about VTSix  here.

The last time I used VTSix' services was about a month ago.  Because I between yearly condo rentals, I needed a room for one night only, preferably in VT 6 itself.  This was the room I got for 2,500 baht/night.  It was a 100-sq m one-bedroom unit on the 24th floor. It featured a full kitchen, two balconies and one-and-a-half baths, including a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable.

 

It was adequately furnished, but nothing special aside from a heavy-duty "home theater" system. My only criticism would be that the furniture wasn't hospitality grade, but a cheaper variety that showed  dings and scratches.

yes last minute they can be value for money but in general both dancewatcher and honey are cheaper, and i find the apartments better maintained.

 

vtsix has as benefit the 24hr service on site and the ladies are friendly and efficient

that is also not there standard price.

 

i think their normal studio is around 2300, 1bed around 3000 and 2bed 4000

 

you can not judge a provider on special last minute offers.

 

taxi: 1500 (where they pay taxi company 1000) vs honey 1200

 

normal studio 2300 for less well maintained then honey 2000

 

these are normal standard pay prices

 

special offers like them putting you in 2 bedroom with jacuzzi for the price of studio because they overbooked does not count (but was nice surprise )

Just to clarify  a few points.  The unit in which I stayed was a one-bedroom apartment.  It was indeed a last-minute rental (morning of day I stayed there), but I believe I got the 500-baht discount because I walked into VTSix' office, rather than booking through the Internet.

The owner has one major flaw - he believes in piggy back internet - meaning he connects a few rooms using the same router and boosters

 

He then argued until he was blue in the face that he never had any other complaints about the internet - only me - I did actually confirm with other people that they had problems and in his last email to me - he said that he had upgraded the internet - why would he need to do that if everything was OK?

 

I moved rooms and that internet worked a tad better BUT only if you did not switch off the bathroom light otherwise the internet did not work at all - go figure!

 

If he sorts out the internet issues his rooms are perfectly adequate - on the right side of the building and on the right floors - comparably priced and the obvious benefit is the 24 hour reception - I did actually get locked out one night - he was upstairs in minutes

 

He has more units than any of the other agencies but seems to be attracting groups of Indian guys (he is also Indian) and they sleep 4-5 to a room!

 

One fault I found with Honeys rooms and a few others is the bathroom smells as there is no trap underneath the  drainage hole next to the toilet so it constantly stinks of shit - my room on the 24th floor was excellent and well priced but the smell from the toilet was a deal breaker

 

The guy from VT6 told me he noticed it and re-plumbed all his rooms and put a trap in under the floor...

A couple of trips back I stayed in that room where the bathroom light had to be on for the internet to work, the door needed re-hanging at the time and wouldn't shut all the way either... That was my worst experience, usually very satisfied with the rooms I have gotten from them.

 

 I have used VT6 Condo Service for all but one of my stays at VT6, last trip used Honey for second half.  She charged less but it did not include daily maid service, and the VT6 service did...  Had to pay an additional 500 baht a day I believe...  

 

VT6 Condo Services has always had better rates than Dancewatchers when I have been shopping...

I to stayed in that room , furniture was very worn maid never left water unless I asked and I paid 72000 for a 5 week stay in feb

funny i never had smell issues in honeys. in the end you have multiple owners and that makes there are always differences between the condos

I haved used vt6 rooms. There internet sucked. They have the router in the ceiling in the bathroom. Every time the internet got slow. I had to go into the ceiling to reboot it. The other issue was the maid and water service. Waking me up at different times to perform there service even if i put a sign on the door to do not disturb. I use mostly Dancewatchers. Never had an issue of smell in the bathroom. I would use vt6 only as a last resort. But now you have Page 10 & the stay for around $ 50 is not bad either

Its one way to ensure NO same person with a young child would even let their child near the place - because of this one problem I woudl nto go hear the place, if ti had child safe balconies Id stay in places like this all the time.

 

Don't the archtechs have any brains at all? The rails say to a kid "Hey, come and climb me its fun!".

 

I wouldnt be surpirsed if a baby could even crawl out (fit) between the gaps in the railings.

 

They should be all glass

i will never stay there I booked on Agoda and furniture had holes in it water ran and no phone I checked out and got all but one night refunded and went to the Marriott and that's the only place I will ever stay In Pattaya, most friendliest staff and professional in the world!!

I Have stayed at VT6 on quite  a few occasions and now its the only place I stay , I use a different booking agent I suppose it depends on the properties they have on their books , staying again in two weeks time , I always use Pat from Pimonphan -home design rates good rooms good,

 

I have stayed in a number of places in pattaya including the Hilton, Dusit 2,  sandy springs to mention a few  ,  this place IMHO  gives you a whole lot of bang for your buck  the only real problem I see now is,  the ruski's have found the place . like everything in patts it is a constantly changing landscape.

i have been charged 16000 THB for four nights for a presidential suite through Booking .com!!

Is the price ok?THe post before this says 2500 THB per night and iam charged almost 4000 THB per night..
