Pirate DVDs on Walking Street

Another round of confiscating pirate DVDs from rogue street vendors took place on the evening of 5th February.

Again, the favourite place for these vendors to hassle tourists is Walking Street, so Tourist Police Officers headed by Police Lieutenant Colonel Suwan Ouanan went along with his team and swooped on a number of street vendors. However, many of them managed to get away from the scene and the officers only caught one man with 1,500 pirate copies of the latest movies and pornography.

The Thais are only trying to work..Original DVDs would be very expensive..Almost Everything is a copy but usually good copies..I dont condone it but there trying to work and yet get harrased by the police alot...Once confinscated they try to buy them back from the police..This also includes food vendors on the beach and any Thai trying to make a living in a tourist market..

No place on the Planet like Pattaya..Don't let your meat loaf
