Drunken Senior Police Officer detained at Central Pattaya Beer Bar.

 

Police Lieutenant Colonel Barinyar from Pattaya Police Station was called to a Beer Bar near the Tipp Plaza on Pattaya Beach Road in the early hours of Monday Morning to investigate claims that an off-duty and armed Police Officer was causing a disturbance at the location. At the location, Police immediately detained Police Lieutenant Colonel Wacharin aged 53 who works at the Koh Jan Police Station here in Chonburi Province. He was carrying a holstered firearm which was taken from him as a precaution. The Officer was clearly intoxicated and offered a considerable amount of resistance when Police detained and disarmed him. He was taken to Pattaya Police Station and his firearm was confiscated. He was ordered to go home and his commanding officer was contacted and will discipline Police Lieutenant Colonel Wacharin as he sees fit. It is against Police regulations to display a holstered firearm while off-duty.
