Press Conference announces the arrest of 8 people and the seizure of drugs, guns and water meters.

 

In the Car park of Pattaya Police Station on Saturday Morning, Police Colonel Nopadon, the Superintendent of Pattaya Police Station led a press conference to announce the arrest of eight individuals relating to 2 separate cases.

The first case, announced by the Colonel, led to the arrest of two people accused of stealing seven water meters from around Pattaya. Khun Sakdar aged 20 and Khun Porntawee aged 33 were detained after an operation to track down the pair who were known to have committed similar thefts around the Pattaya area for some time.

The more serious case, on show, at the Press Conference, presented 6 people, arrested as part of a drugs and firearms case. The Undercover Unit at Pattaya Police Station had conducted a number of small drugs arrests and the names of a group of suspected dealers were given over in each case. A further undercover operation led to the arrest of the 6 suspects who were caught with 7,200 Yabba Tablets, 2 firearms and 140,000 Baht in cash. They were arrested at the North end of Pattaya Third Road in the early hours of Saturday Morning. They are now facing a variety of drugs and firearms charges.
