  1. If your phone supports it, you can also go with an eSIM. Saves time from having to pick up a physical SIM.
  2. Didn't know there was one out there but I've tried the location on the corner of Beach Rd/Pattaya Klang. I thought it was decent for the price but doesn't quite measure up to the higher end ones. I also tried Men Labo in Tree Town a few weeks ago and thought it was quite good too.
  3. There used to be one on WS in the spot next to Peppermint. It was kind of like a beer bar but with a ring inside. Not sure when it disappeared. The guy wasn't there to beat people up though, he was essentially taking dives for tips.
  4. Check out Ippudo in the basement of Central and Kourakuen in Terminal 21.
  5. I had something like this happen as well at another bar in this group. I had already visited several times in Dec and then one night a security guy came over and told me I had to leave because he had seen me talking to a manager of another bar on WS. It's a friend of mine but the security guy seemed to think I worked for that bar as well. Didn't want to argue so just paid up and left.
  6. Haha yes I know what you mean in that sense.. but no. They were photos of her on the plane, at work.
  7. She's never been a freelancer, she was formerly a flight attendant. (She's posted old photos of her from those days) However, I did spot a girl at Atmos who kind of looks like her. You'll know who if you see her.
  8. Yes the majority of the visitors from the southern border will be going to Hat Yai, although I have seen a good # in Hua Hin as well. Lots go to Bangkok also, but as far as Pattaya goes they are fairly sparse.
  9. I don't think you are understanding what I am saying. There are 3 major ethnic groups in Malaysia. Malay, Chinese and Indian. All 3 of these groups would hold a Malaysian passport and hence would count as Malaysian tourists. But on the streets, you would never be able to tell just by looking.
  10. Not at all, particularly from the tourist perspective. The Chinese are a quarter of the population and far more likely to be tourists to Thailand for both economic and cultural reasons. Without doxxing myself, all I will say is that I am extremely familiar with Malaysia. I'm not saying that you would confuse Malays with Indians ethnically, I'm saying their nationality may be confused if you're just looking at one. Although I would tend to agree that there are not a large # of Malaysian Indians visiting.
  11. But there may be confusion with Malaysian Chinese and Malaysian Indians. You wouldn't know unless you speak to them.
  12. There won't be many choices if you require cleaning, some condos provide it intermittently like once a month but anything beyond that you'd have to pay for. The other thing that is difficult to find is a good workspace. I also require reliable internet so I chose a condo with a dedicated connection. The location I'm at is more than 30k however. You could probably stay within budget if you go slightly outside central Pattaya, but it still won't be easy to meet all of your requirements. I'd try the south Pattaya area which is still not too far, but notably cheaper than central. For soi 6 access Centric Sea would also be a good choice, but I've only ever spotted a couple units there that would be suitable for remote work on Airbnb.
  13. As a Canadian I find this crazy, but I'm glad someone mentioned us 🤣
