A business related trip to a nearby destination with onward flights to Bangkok

The reasons I've heard given before:

• Snorkeling / Diving adventure
• Reunion with friends
• Guys week  - hang out and talk boring "guy talk"
• Need time and space far away to sort your thoughts out
• Cheaper for you to go solo to scout the area out to determine whether she would like it

Many things to do in Pattaya besides the bars. Look up the activities and make a list and then tell her that is what you want to do. Also cite that you want to eat authentic Thai food and experience the culture first hand.

 

You may want to send her pictures of you in those activities. The Go-Kart place is a great place to get some pictures of you having innocent fun.
