Most people dont have a Will in Thailand and so it creates problems.

 

Giving the honor of being the Executor of your Will to your friend is actually giving them a huge problem.

 

You should have your Will properly made and in Thai and English - all assets should be listed, cars, bikes and insurance, house and condo, bank accounts, shares - otherwise it will create problems.

 

If you have a Will in another country then you need to make sure that it doesnt conflict with the Thai Laws and visa versa.

 

Also if you want your assets to go to your kids and theyre under 18 then we can write the Will to make sure they and not others get your assets.

So after last posting we have had dozens of clients that have been fleeced by the GF or wife.

hey, guys be real careful if you think your date is close to 18 years old. If he or she is under 18 years old then this opens up a whole world of pain. Both financially and physically.

 

If you are caught the authorities can slap a trafficking of a minor charge on you and this is on top of being with a minor - no matter how consensual it is.

 

If caught you will be locked up in Pattaya remand. You may get bail on the first or second court appearance. This will cost money.

 

If you are American then you can expect some Government contact and no doubt some NGO will take on the case under the Protect Act. They are after scalps and so show due diligence in really finding out the kids age. ie not her ID card as it may be her older sisters.

If you are not sure about your GF and wanting to get married then get a prenuptial agreement. This will protect your assets and if the GF reads and signs it then it's a good indicator that she is not solely after your money.
