Seems reasonable. Lots of people drive like complete idiots here and the only thing that will stop them is fear of a penalty.

 

BTW, going the wrong way has consequences for pedestrians too. Trying to cross a one way street means we have to look BOTH ways to make certain no jackass is going to come the wrong way and run us down.

 

But I doubt this gets any traction and the chaos will continue. One of the reasons I doubt I will retire to Pattaya is the shitty traffic and idiots on motorbikes.

In my experience its prety much the same most places around asia. Once you get used to things its not as chaotic as it first looks.
