What to bring to Pattaya?

thus

Recommended Posts

I personally would consider sneaks, shorts, and t-shirt a touch underdressed for Insomnia in the late evening.

You would not be alone if you dressed that way and would not suffer that much (if at all) from dressing like that

if you were otherwise presentable. Light slacks and collared shirt would be fairly normal as well, and not stand

out at all.

My usual wear in Pattaya is a decent pair of jeans and either a nice t-shirt or loose linen short sleeve button

down shirt. (I live in Texas and wear jeans throughout the summer, so Pattaya temperatures are not really a

big deal to me).

It really does boil down to what you are comfortable in wearing. The ladies pick up on how comfortable/confident

you are, so if you're good to go in a t-shirt and shorts, or in a full on formal wear, or even full body themed leotards

(most recent Wildestock...) you will have a good time.

Thanks.

Exactly what I was looking for.

My wingmen have basically told me to pack light, and shorts and t-shirts are pretty much everywhere all the time.

I DO sometimes like to wear slacks, collared shirt and shoes sometimes when going a little more "upscale" and that certainly adds to the clothing I'd be bringing.

No problem, glad I could help.

I know I tend towards a more upscale look when I'm out in the evening, but that is just a personal preference,

not something that is expected or necessary.

If anything I probably tend to stand out a touch for being slightly overdressed compared to the average patron

in the bars. Once again, it's a matter of personal preference, comfort, and confidence.

You can get by anywhere in Pattaya wearing shorts, tshirts and sandals, but if you are planning on spending any time in Bangkok then pack a set of long pants as well.
