Vietnam Airlines good or not ?

Recommended Posts

Posted

Booking my trip for June and saddly the flight I wanted with Qatar is more expensive now.

Yet, I have found a good offer with Vietnam Airlines : around 560€ with short stops.

Should I take it or not ?

Anyone flew with this company ? Was it good ?

Thanks!

I've flown them a bunch, but all short haul. There's websites with reviews of your potential flights like Seat Guru, Flyertalk, Skytrax etc LINK:http://www.airlinequality.com/

Flew with them BKK to Saigon.

All good, lovely hostesses (as you'd expect)

Not a big ref. but all I have.

Well if you enjoy Fido Sarnies and compared to the rest a more poor safety record they are fine .

Joking aside no real complaints they are what they say on the can and there is far worse operating and being used daily

Thanks for the answers guys.

I just booked my flight, 560€ is a really good price.

i have also flown Vietnam airlines many many times both domestic and short haul Singapore BKK ,,,,,,, but i always avoid Saigon to Oz as the service and attitude goes downhill .....its a qantas code share flight and you really notice the difference.......I would say give them a go ..

Beware of Terminal 2E where is located VN Airlines at Roissy Airport.

I read on a french vietnam board that it can be a big mess to find the way to boarding.

I booked also my flight on 20th june for 570 € one week ago. Now the price is 532 € and only 2 seats left.

Plus : 30 kg luggage - only 70 € for any changes

If you save money and the plane doesn't fall out of the sky it's a good deal.

Don't worry I know terminal 2E very well. Had hard time to find my door the first time, but it's fine now.

or stop in HCMC (ex Saigon) 1,5 hour from Bangkok.

I am thinking to do a stop in VN for mongering during 1 week.

Current promotion now on with Vietnam Airlines from London Heathrow to Bangkok at £422.86

Dont stop in Hanoi for mongering as it doesnt really exist there. A week in Saigon is too long , probably 3 days is enough.

The plane to Hanoi is quite old, if you can get the same price with Eithad i would go with them instead.

The stop to Hanoi is only around 3 hours.

I only stop in Bkk before heading to Patts :)
