Can anyone advise me on how to withhold thai mobile number when calling UK?

Thanks in advance.

Only way I can think is if you call via a phone card , but that may not cover your tracks or Skype perhaps ! I don't think you can stop your number showing like in the UK .

Simple answer is that you can't withhold a Thai mobile number, you can try turning it off in your phone but it won't work.

Maybe if you're staying in a hotel and you dial from your room it may show as private number ?

I have recieved phone calls from abroad and when i dial 1471 to check number operator says recieved call from network that is unable to transmit numbers,if you are in uk get a friend to call you from thailand to make sure.

It can be set in the menu of some mobile phones, but the best advice is to try the international call booths in Pattaya, and check with a mate first as already suggested. The international call services use VoIP services over the internet like skype, most will not display any number, some may display a UK number.

you can do this with nokia phones by going into call settings and changing 'send my caller ID' from yes to no easy.

I think last time in Thailand I used a Dtac sim & when using 004 61 (for oz) "number in oz" no number would show up.

When I tried +61 "number in oz" the number would show up.

I can not remember correctly so try with somebody else 1st

Open a skype a/c, buy some credit and most importantly buy a UK number (virtual).

Now whenever you will dial anyone's mobile, your virtual number will show up.

Rate is the same whether you call international from VOIP card (Hatari or i-call)

or skype.

You can also set Skype to show your regular UK number.

...or you can just call from your UK sim, but that would cost more.
