Booking hotel tomorrow....advise please

I travel on monday for 3 weeks and really need to book hotel. i am just gonna book for one or two nights and then have a look round when i get there (or stay put if i like first hotel).

I want to be in soi buakao area so have made a shortlist based on my criteria ( 1.daily maid service 2.safe in room 3. not more than 1000-1100 per night.) Couldnt give a toss about wifi and although pool would be good I can use any pool

Shortlist is as follows........can anyone advise me which one (or different one)......Sunview Place.....Nature View......D-Apartment (old part700/night)....R-Con

I am so indecisive but really want to get booked tomorrow.................CHEERS FOR ANY HELP

Have a look at Pattaya Bay Resort. Not far from Soi Buakhow (free tuk tuk ride).

They have a nice pool on the roof next to the restaurant. Free breakfast for two before 11.00am.

 

Although I now prefer guest houses, I have stayed at PBR on two occasions, both times were fantastic.

 

If you don't want a pool, have a look at guesthouses. I will be at Irish Rovers next month. Great place with a family atmosphere.

used be 500 a night but that was a couple of years ago, had a fantastic little pool too.

chaba hut resort have a pool, set off the main road so nice and quiet but in the centre of everything. make sure you ask for a room in the new wing its called chaba view..

ive always got a room there for 1000b per night without breakfast. ticks all the right boxes for me and the staff are great there...

A regular of mine is in Nature view and says very nice and very close to the Metro bars etc

Ive just booked the Sunview Place for two nights. If its ok i'll stay there or move on if its not.

Its not a bad place at all. Walk out and catch a baht bus or motorbike to run you a few minutes down the road too LK Metro and such. Rooms are simple but nice. Tiny pool but it does the job. Relaxing lobby that is active in the morning but quiet at night. If you don't bring your own laptop then you can use the two computers downstairs for free.

They will photo copy your passport and ask for a deposit. Joiners are free but will have to surrender ID at the desk for yours and the hotels safety. Wifi signal in the rooms was not so great when I was there a coupe of years ago but maybe they have upgraded to wireless N by now.

 

Negatives...If your out late your going to have to rely on motorbikes to get home. The baht buses get really scarce late at night. Only local expat watering holes within walking distance. No offense to these watering holes but I wouldn't think one would travel across the globe simply to watch other men get drunk. So their fine to drink in but you wont find any gorgeous honeys across the street.
