I'm looking for a nice hotel in Jomtien.

 

Under 1,000 / night

 

I need A/C, but a pool is not required

 

Any recent experiences?

I stayed at the Jomtien Beach SPAM WORD located on Soi 9 for a 9 night stay. I booked through Agoda and paid a little more than what you are looking to pay, but the lady in reception said I could get a better rate if I called them directly. The room was nice, with a little kitchen area, full size refridgerator, nice pool and exercise room. These are condo's for rent or buy. I enjoyed my stay there. The soi is a couple of blocks from the bars and nightlife, so nice an quiet for sleeping. Was there with my Filipina GF and not in party mode on this trip.

Silver Sands is a good hotel - just don't pay with your credit card !! Only used mine to pay hotel bill and it was being used in Japan a week later.

The jomtien boat house is a high quality hotel for about the 1000 Mark. Well worth checking out.
