It depends what part of Bangkok & time of day. But, generally about 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

From Suvarnabhumi Airport, its about 1 1/2 hours, give or take traffic conditions.

 

Agreed, depends on time of day etc. Last time we landed at 9 pm, got through customs and in the cab by 9:45. Took us only an hour and 15 minutes and we stopped to get beers as well.
