Air Berlin

Tried them once (CPH-DUS-BKK) and would surely use them again. Good prices, good service, and the stop in DUS was no problem at all.

Everyone has the right to my opinion

have used Air Berlin on my last trip to the LOS and will be using them again on my upcoming trip. Have also used them on flights to the USA from Germany.

Their prices are competitive, I could save a few euro if I used other connections but the convenience of direct flights or possibly better scheduling outweighs the difference in price IMO.

-If you are flying economy, the food is crap, but that's not why you really choose to fly an airline right? BTW at extra cost you can have better food if you wish, think it's called the Sansibar Menu.

-The headphones cost extra, they don't have entertainment on demand in the head rests in front of you, I just bring my iPod and iPhone, enough entertainment on those to last me for the flights there and back.

- I am 6'4'' (190cms) and find the standard seating a little tight, especially on a full flight, they offer a the exit seat at the bulkhead for an additional cost of 60,00 per flight (long distance), this adds another 120,00 Euros to the flight cost but I added this option to my next trip for the leg room and the fact that after the business class has exited you are the next person to leave the plane.

- They are pretty strict about weight limits for baggage and hand baggage, not that this would be an issue

The service is good, the online booking system they have is also good, you can even check in online using their app or using the website and avoid the long line in Bangkok checking in as they have a cue dedicated to Internet check-in bag drop off only.

If you do opt for business class or first comfort as they call it, the taxi ride to and from Pattaya is apparently included. I only have flown first comfort once, it is a much nicer way to travel however I am not sure it measures up to business class in airline such as Singapore Airlines, Emirates etc....
