Will Photo Studio Lighting from US work in Thailand (110v)?

Does anyone know if Photo Studio lighting purchased in USA using 110v will work in Thailand? I have a continuous light kit with 45W bulbs purchased in USA.

I think the lights will work but might have to buy 220 bulbs in Thailand.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks,

Zero

I think you need a 220 V transformator .

Thanks GoGo Dog..

I will do that. I think it is cheaper to buy the light setup here rather than in Thailand. I am buying to umbrella reflectors, 2 continuous lights to start. Hope to get some good pics this trip. My new hobby.

Mostly semi nude, nude, lingerie of Pattaya and Bangkok girls.... Always fun taking some photos but wanted to get into the more professional quality shots...

be very careful on that one. I used to be a professional TV editor / cameraman, and when i moved to Thailand i brought all my equipment with me. When I came thru the checkpoint with a bunch of camera equipment, they hauled me aside and questioned me quite extensively, assuming i was coming to do pornos or something. when they realized i was actually moving here they relented. My point being, they might want to know why you're bringing lighting equipment for a holiday.

re: lights in general, look at the spec sheet, some higher end light sets are DC not AC, so you might not need a 220v - 11v converter. just buying a 220v to 12v DC converter might be enough. check the manual.

You will defo need a Transformer , If you don't want to bring all the gear to Thailand i have all the studio lighting you need on a professional level including on location lighting that is easy to manage on your shoulder or stands with softboxes.

This is available for hire at reasonable rates as long as we don't have bookings for that day!

The Studio is also for hire, which includes a Photographer or assistant to show you how to use it then up to you, you provide the models, we have a whole range of clothes and accessories shower and changing facilities and can also provide a stylist for hair and make up, this you just sort out with them but we can point you in the right direction.

PM me if you are interested in getting Pro Studio Shots or on Location say the beach etc with model lit up and the sunset in the background.

If you are here or coming soon,

We have 1000 watt continuous lighting, with softboxes ( 2 of ). They are Photoflex (110vac), but we have transformers to supply with. We use strobe lighting mostly, so can let these rent out for next to nothing. However, a deposit is required for any lgihting rentals. Just incase anyone decides to do a runner with our equipment :GoldenSmile1:
