2 hand ring

Recommended Posts

Is it rude to give a used golden ring with 3 small diamants for your Thai wife?

It's a family ring...brought it to polish etc...but what if she discovered it isn't brand new...??? is this offending a Thai in Thai culture????

advice before the yekking starts... :hello09:

I'm not sure about second hand, as they seem to trade/exchange jewellery all the time.

The main Q is whether it's Thai gold, or at least 18 carat and more preferably 23 carat.

In my mind, a family ring is not 2nd hand, it's an heirloom!

Big difference.

If it looks costly and more importanly is costly then sure it will not be an issue.

Long as she can sell it if things go Pete Tong then no problems.

I am often very pleased on Soi 6 to have a Second or even Third Hand Ring.

Fourth Hand to me means to much use 55555

Or even if she just gets bored with it or sees a better one, she'll chop it in for another.

Yup, that's my take on it too.

Many Thai's wear gold around them instead of keeping money in a bank account, & freely trade it in as their day to day needs may require.

I've never heard of any TG turning her nose up at Second hand gold! (or any woman) as I'm sure it simply can't apply to this Element -

hence it's 'safety status' since way back to the earliest of times.

I've seen Thai's look down upon 18 carat as 'Falang Gold' though.

But with Diamonds! TG's I think are the same as women everywhere!

The problem with Thai gold is it is too soft to be used as a setting for diamonds.

If you're buying TGs diamonds then you are in trouble. :Think1:

Why you consider as a second hand? Instead gift her saying it's a family tradition and very old & precious!

Gold & Diamond never degrade & they are more precious & valuable in times.

They will love it when you say it's your grand grandmother's ring! :Think1:

My wife is a sex object. Every time I ask for sex, she objects..
