kingfisher air

i have read that kingfisher air has defaulted on government loans is this an indication that they are about to go bust only inquiring because about to book a flight with them in april dont want to waste money so if anyone has more information I would be happy to be informed

Kingfisher is in deep financial trouble though there are efforts to inject fresh cash into the airline to keep it afloat since it's the second largest domestic carrier in India. About half their fleet is currently grounded because of lack of spares though the management version is that the grounding is because they are being refurbished. I also believe that a lot of their fight crew have left recently due to non-payment of salaries...

 

I wouldn't travel Kingfisher currently as their flights are frequently delayed due to shortage of crew and aircraft, though I don't believe that they'll go bust just yet...
