Trip Report: What to do during the day in Ao Nang, Krabi Province

During the day you can pretty much do anything you find in Phuket. But Ao Nang Beachfront is an awesome place to pass the time. It's clean and plenty of places to chill under the shade, if you are looking to escape the sun. Or join the many topless sunbathers and hot backpackers. There are the typical island tours for $800-$1200 baht. Or do single island tour for $300 baht.

 

But what I like to do is walk up and down the street. You will be approached by many ladies that pass out flyers to the massage parlor (non-sexual) that are located above the beachfront. There are about 20 of them. These ladies that pass out the flyers get a commission for steering you to a massage lady. They speak really good english. They are your key to hooking up with regular girls. After you get a massage, talk to the lady that directed you to a booth. Just ask, do you have any friends you can set me up with? She can set up dates for you. This is one way to meet local Thai women. I've done it a few times....was set up on some blind dates and they turned out well. If you don't like the women, it doesn't cost you much. maybe $300-500 baht for dinner and drinks. But at least it feels romantic and makes you feel like you worked for it. Not just saying how much. And if you hit it off then you can continue seeing her.

 

Hopefully this is an insightful tip to an alternative way of meeting girls in an area that really doesn't promote Sex Tourism.

Seems a costly way of Hooking up when Ao Nang has a Bar comples half way up Hill just down on other side of Macky D,s.

Plenty Fl hang out and some MP offer up Sex. You always also have Krabi Town.
