Ratchadaphisek to Pattaya - Taxi?

Would it be fine to Hail any ole cab off the street in ratchadaphisek and ask them to take us to Pattaya?

Or would there be extra's added onto the fare due to it been quite a distance and only going one way?

 

I was thinking of either doing the above - or trying to get MR T to pick us up from our hotels locations (Pietra hotel) or someone similar to take us there in a lil more comfort.

 

If anyone knows any answers to the above - would be greatly appreciated (and if ya familier with it - how much would you say it should cost us?)..

Can't go wrong with Mr T, I believe it is 1000 to Pattaya from anywhere in Bangkok including tolls.

I reckon you could. Pick a nice cab-van get his card and ask. 1000-1500B. Mr T taxi can pick up for 1200B if I recall correctly. Why not catch the VIP bus from Ekkamai (just next to the BTS skytrain station) which leaves every 30 minutes, very cheap 125 baht each....simple.

You could use the Bell Bus door to door service. As far as i remember it is 350 Baht from BKK hotel to Patts hotel.

Thats taken a weight of my shoulders - and ill start looking into getting my transport sorted in the coming weeks.
