Why do we only get 4.88mb of space for uploading pics? My attachment folder was full so I deleted them and now all my posts have lost the images I uploaded!

 

Give us more space!

I would love to be able to give everyone 5 gig of space but we have to be practical. Server space costs money and the more space we need the more it is going to cost us. Currently there is no money incoming to offset our expenses unlike sites such as Pattaya Talk or Secrets whose purpose is to support and promote their establishments. We have tried to be reasonable and allow people as much space as we can.

 

As sexy beast has suggested it is best to link photos from an outside hosting to your posts, that is how we post our photos and it does not affect your storage space. The uploaded option is meant to be used more for one or 2 pics occassionally rather than multiple photo posts. As we improve our storage capacity we will increase the upload limits but this will likely take a while. :)

quick question. Are we able to tag a pic from photobucket and paste it here like with myspace?

Yes. The button to the right of the smiley is the one you use to post a photo link. Be careful using photobucket as if you use the link they provide and use the button on this page it doubles the img coding. If pasting from photobucket or any other page that has 8083-13905.jpg

Worked fine. It's actually easier once you get used to it and takes far less time to post your pics. The only problem with many hosting sites is that they will deny some content, especilly nudes. I think if you want to post nudes sexy beast's suggestion of using flickr is a good choice or New Pattaya Images which is run by board member Gabor, althoughI have fond his site to be slow and unreliable lately. Another option is using our Gallery on the board to host photos, although out of necessity we have had to limit how many photos each member can post there as well, still it is more than 5mb.

Yeah Im on notice with photobucket. They routinly go through my accounts looking for as they call it inappropriate content. Ive seen some pix or comments on myspace from host sites that allow adult content, Image shack is the same.

yes, it would require a password to be entered for the user to see your private pix

 

you can also set up PhotoBucket for special sessions to allow someone to see your private pix
