Basically I intended to book my flights to Bangkok this evening with Etihad, the flight costs 1109 euro and leaves on the 31dec11 however today im after finding flights with Jet Airways that leaves on the 6thjan12 and these are only 613 euro,Etihad are probably better but are they better by 500 euro? I think this could be too good of a deal to pass up, what ye guys think?

 

If you can wait 6 days & are ready to fly with a Airline that are not as good then 500 Euros is a nice saving for when you hit Thailand.

last 2 weeks of Jan and into Feb is a great time as a lot of the xmas/new year types have gone. I usually come this time. but this year I am there 16 dec to 8 jan - fucking expensive fares and higher room rates.....

Agree.....christmas time and new year is not so bad to avoid as long as you can have your holiday after and even extend it

Have read and heard bad things about Jet, airports in India aren't supposed to be great and you could have a long turn around time, all depends on how annoyed you'll be if they lose your luggage, have your flight delayed or shitty in flight service which doesn't really happen with Etihad in my experience. 500 euro is quite a lot of money though and could probably make up for a lot of hassle.

Yeah it's too good to resist. Trust me Jet Airways is a good airline and 6 days will pass away just like that, you can spend that 500 euro either on hotel or if i would you i would spend it on girls.

Personally I prefer to stay in guest houses but everyone is different.

 

Have a good trip and remember to take loads of photo's and do a trip report of your 1st holiday in Pattaya.

Ahh Emirates & Dubai now would be different to Jet and Mumbai 555. Good deal, might try Emirates next June, have Etihad booked for New years.
