Review : Leng Kee (Thai/Chinese)

Found this open-air place while walking down Pattaya Central road the first time I was in Pattaya few years ago. Since then, I have made it a point to go there everytime that I have returned to Pattaya.

 

Part of the restaurant is open-air so you sit pretty much by the sidewalk and watch the city's hustle-bustle while you have some really awesome food.

 

I think it serves both Thai and Chinese food, but I have had only thai food here. I had had thai food elsewhere as well, and this was one of the best I have had.

 

The roast duck is highly recommended and so are the various mixed seafood soups. Actually - I have never been disappointed with any of the dishes I have had there.

And this is not even expensive at all. Food and a pint of beer for 2 people comes to about 500-600 baht.

 

A definite must visit !

This is my favourite restraunt in pattaya .. because i love roast duck! Not so cheap though.

It is always a favourite of mine for a late night / early morning bite to eat.

 

It also seems to be very popular with all the extra Thais who are in town at the moment. I saw some lovely non-P4P girls there last week!

Leng Kee is one more bad visit away from crossing this off the list. My girl and I eat here weekly and the last three times the service as been absolute shit, mainly the waiter forgets to bring one of the dishes we ordered, but also had some bad shrimp my girl wouldn't eat (and she eats practically anything!). Anyone else notice a decline?

Good food that won't break the bank, but the owner is making serious money. My TG tells me he owns a lot of property in and around Pattaya plus his staff come from other countries so he pays them cheap (she picked up on their accent). Either way I like eating there.

Good post. I thought the service was shit because they didn't like my LB date. Guess I shouldn't of taken it personal. Either way, I can cross Central rd and eat at that restuarant just west of there.

try the crab balls with sweet chilli dip, mmmmm, lush, service was a little dodgy last time i went , but the food is very good, also went to the one right at the end of naklua, beautiful setting, like a infinity pool there aswell, but found the food was a bit bland , also left me feeling a bit dodgy,
