Mentally Unstable German Found Walking Naked in Pattaya

A German left by his Thai girl friend when his money ran out lost his mind and started walking the streets naked. The tourists and the locals felt sorry for him and gave him 1,000 THB. The Chonburi Immigration Office was notified.

 

Pattaya (September 20, 2011) (PDN) Pol. Col. Choosak Panusumporn, Superintendent, Chonburi Immigration Police was informed about a foreigner walking naked on the sidewalk in Soi Buakhao Moo 9, Pattaya.

 

At the scene the police found a foreigner age 45-50, German citizen on the sidewalk, picking up cigarette butts mumbling: “ If I’ve money, my beloved girl friend will not leave me, money for house and food…”

 

The police detained him and brought a big towel to cover his lower body. The tourists and local Thais pitied him and donated 1,080 THB for food. The police detained the man in order to take him to the immigration office in Pattaya but he resisted and the police had to tie him for his own safety. He did not carry any documents.

 

Upon information received from the witnesses, the police learned that the German became mentally disturbed as his Thai girl friend left him when he ran out of money.

Is this not Michael, the "Man in Black" who's the subject of quite a long-running thread here on PA? It certainly looks like him. Perhaps if so he's finally going to get some medical aid and a repatriation to his home country.

 

Assuming it is Michael, his girlfriend must have left him a long time ago, as he's been haunting the LK Metro area for months and was wandering the streets of Bangkok before that. Hope he gets looked after properly and doesn't just end up languishing in a cell like that Brit a few months ago.

I saw him last January quite a few times out side a 7/11 on Sukhumvit Soi 22 in Bkk. He was in a bad way then, maybe nothing to do with Pattaya

Yes, see him a lot of times on soi horny too, not a pretty sight. Hope they send him home. Definite something to learn from his story.

I saw him numerous times in Soi Diana 2 weeks ago.

 

His pockets full of empty tobacco packets. phew did he stink..

I saw him walking around a lot a couple of weeks ago, i wondered what was going on with him.

Most probably he doesn't have money to buy airticket to go home. Hopefully the Thai authority can just deport him back to Germany. Wondering if he has a home back in Germany. Poor guy.
