Well I have read something about this before...

Personally I have never noticed an issue from the actual baht bus itself.

 

Only one time travelling up Pattaya Klang I and all the other passengers almost got smoked out of / off the bus by the exhaust fumes from a lorry as it pulled away from its spot next to us in the traffic. One older Thai lady did look like she was going to collapse but luckily recovered fairly quickly.
