Hi everybody !!

i've been to thailand this summer in a 15 days trip, i came "with parents" from france with a travel agency, we stayed 5 days in pattaya in Welcome Jomtien Beach hotel and i can say that i've spent those five days like in heaven "bars, girls, beers, night clubs...etc" !!!

i'm planning to goback to PATTAYA in the next month "september" with 2 of my friends, but i need some information about accomodation !!

i've been thinking about renting an apartment but when looking over the internet, all prices are really expensive for students "us", concerning hotels, i don't have a clear idea about prices !!

so would it be better to rent a small appartment , or just stay in a hotel ??

if you choose apartment, how much will it cost me to rent a flat big enough for 2 people ?

if you say hotel, how much will i have to pay for a 2 beds hotel room ? prices range from what to what ? and where can i find the cheapest hotels ?

thank you guys

You defintely want your own room...you don't want to share a room unless you are swaping girls...in September you can get something real nice for about 1200baht a night, anything more than that you are spending to much..

And you can get by for less than that also, check out Rockhouse owned by BM Mulphy, or one of the other places on Soi LK Metro, Metro Apartments, Stereo Bar, there are a bunch of them there, bar gueshouse set ups with some very good values on rooms. You don't get a pool and some of the services of the bigger hotels, but you do get a good room at a good rate. Rockhouse is, imho, one of the best values around, very large and nicely furnished/decorated rooms, for I believe the normal rate is 850 a night, though specials sometimes bring that down. Check over in the Businesses section for contact information and give Mulphy a shout if your interested.

If you are looking for super budget, something for 500 a night or a bit less is probably out there, depends on what your minimum standards for the room are.
