Flew Emirates a lot. They are a top airline.

 

First time with Etihad for me this December.

While boarding at Bangkok airport,2 arabs start exchanging blows and spitting ,myself and a lady infront got spat on.Turns out they where father and son having dissagreement,in my opinion if that had been me and somebody of similar appearance iwould of been thrown off the plane.They just got a warning.

They are very favourable to their own people. Had a plane delayed 20 minutes so a Emirate family could board in Economy!

I like Direct first so its Thai for me number one.

 

China Air via Amsterdam is my number two flight.

 

Emirates for me is at times a great price but number three for me.

 

Spitting Arabs is not good but I was once on Emirates flight back to the UK & these fat Birds were farting & the smell was bad for the entire flight.

 

As things have gone these fat birds were not Arabs.

 

 

Any way my best was on Thai First class one guy was being rude & real crazy to the staff so in the end I told him to be a human.

 

He went on one so I told him just because he had big money did not give him the right to treat the Cabin staff in First Class like shit.

 

He then said he wanted to teach me a lesson as the Staff watched him ranting.

 

I said to him you need a lesson in manners & humanity.

 

So he said he wanted to punch me & give me a lesson.

 

Well I was not amused but said I would give him the first shoot free.

 

I put my hands down by my side & said go on then prick first shoot free.

 

He did not speak to the cabin staff again all flight & he did not take up my offer of having the first shoot free.

 

I believe he was drunk & wankers do fly First Class at times.

 

I of course did pull out my Camera & take photos of the Cabin, seats, food & yes even him just to piss him of.

 

My mother & Father taught me Manners cost nothing but you do not need to put people down or be horrible & rude.

At risk of sounding racist, arab/indian types are the worse people to fly with in general. Yes there are exceptions but don't expect to be striking up friendly small talk if you end up sitting next to one. the indians seem to love bringing their 10 million kids on flights as well.

 

I always found emirates service excellent though. the food is great, but for me the selection of movies and tv shows in the in-flight entertainment is the winner.

Emirates easily the best airline iv ever flown with I only fly with them now when I fly to LOS, was on an A380 in July best airline iv ever flown on loads of leg room in economy the tv screens in the back of the seats are huge, can't wait to fly on one again when i fly out the 24th December

EK 384 leaves dubai at 03.15 am ..any good for you, my flight got 3 hours to stop-over i be in emirates lounge..i sign you in as guest if your about.. free grub ,free beer ..free shampers the bizz,let me know.. love dubai airport,makes the trip start with a bang

Have flown with most airlines from Manchester to Bangkok and always used Emirates that was until they introduced 10 abreast seating in Economy on 777-300ER. Stopped using Emirates for this reason and now fly Qatar who have 9 abreast in Economy on 777-300ER.

Impossible at 10 hours 30 for October-you've got every tradewind against you this time of year same in reverse for Mar/April each year.

We flew the A380 in July from Man-Dubai-Bkk. Originally wanted economy just to try the 380 but they fucked up the booking. As there were 2 of us booking together we got a 'couples' discount of £500 each so 2k each for bizz class both ways. We booked with Net flights but I think the offer was available on other sites. Thought what the hell, £1100 more than economy but never gone bizz class before and the bar and whole set up something different for a one off.

 

As we live less than than 70 miles from the airport got 'free' chauffer service to and from the airport. Arrived at the Emirates lounge in Man and very nice and relaxed, flying at 2.15pm so every kind of lunch and drink available all free and very good service. When we arrived in the lounge I was joking with the girls in reception if they couldnt fill 1st class me and my mate wouldnt be offended if they asked us to upgrade. 30 mins before boarding got a tanoy call to reception and would we like to upgtrade to 1st class free for the 1st leg but bizz for 2nd leg.

 

The 1st class cabin is awsome, 23" flat tv, total privacy cabin if reqd, superb food and service. We hit the bar about 30 mins into flight and was there quite a while drinking Kia Royal champagne cocktails before going back for food. I had booked 20 mins in the 1st class Spa before landing to freshen up.

 

The 2nd leg being in bizz class was a bit of a come down, then arriving in bkk had a 2 hr wait for economy Air Asia flight to Cambodia, the 2 days after that had a 6hr bus ride from PP to Siam Reap.

 

Coming back through Swampy with the express boarding was a big help. The queue for economy through Immigration was massive and for us there was 1 person in front.

 

Was it worth £1100 more I dont think so, and I will be flying economy as normal next time, but it was a bit special
