Carry on baggage

Seriously, call my old fashioned but when i take carry-on, its usually a supermarket bag with my ipad, some drink and some sweets to snack on... sometimes a magazine.

Some people i've noticed seem to be moving house with their carry-on!! shit loads of big trolly wheel type luggage, and other bags, and laptops . Then they usually hold everyone up boarding/leaving the plane while they stand in the isle hauling all that shit up to the baggage holders. don't get angry easily but this kinda stuff really tickles me. especially if i want to run to immigration, grab my bag quick and get to my hotel ASAP ready for a night out ! :Anger:

I take a bag with wheels... It's within the allowed size specified by the airline... Up to me.

Its more of a pain in the arse when the buggers dump all their bags around their feet and gradually move the shit outwards into other peoples space.

I make it obvious by shoving it out of the way !!

How DARE anyone carry a laptop or bag with wheels on a plane that you are on.

In fact the airline should ban all luggage so no one hinders you and your supermarket bag.

Well of course, some people are moving house, you know ! We're not proud of it, but we have to do it, from time to time !

Others just have families, who expect Dad to bring them lots of goodies, wives who miss their farang food (which can cost 2-5 times the price in Thailand), and lastly their own emergency-supplies of books/music-CDs/Viagra/booze etc. !

But I usually let other passengers off first, unless I myself am on a tight connection, in which case I've got as much right as anybody to get off when it's my turn !

Actually, on my trip I WAS moving house! :GoldenSmile1:

I had a 32kg baggage allowance, but could only carry a laptop OR hand luggage & chose the laptop. I bought a special coat which was basically a big pocket in which I put an external HD, a Wii & several heavy books.

Hahaha, thats funny stuff :D

We all have something that bugs us, but need to respect others.

Personally I dont like babies screaming as it makes me feel discomfort.

But hey, the babies go a right to be on the plane too ;)

As long as the carry on is within limits there should be problem and sufficient storage space for everyone. The problem starts when passanger on economy haul 2-3 bags+ the model helicopter in an awkward sized box+crutches+some adorable glas flowers or whatever.

I'll carry a backpack with laptop and stuff and able to squezze it in the over head bin .

I am taking China Air to LOS and just measure my bag(with wheels) to find its 2 inches longer than what the website says it allows... how strict are the airlines on this?

I agree. I never check luggage, but I follow the rules and take a allowable sized wheely bag, and a very small bag with the essentials for the flight. I can wheel my bag down the aisle, put it in the overhead and sit down within seconds. I can take a 2 week trip with my luggage. It annoys me to see people who ignore the rules and take up more than their fair share of luggage space.

Invarably its done to avoid excess baggage charges for hold luggage.

Will accept that I had a 26 kg bag slung around the shoulders and going down to final gate fully expecting it to be sent down the chute (it was) but of course I avoided excess charges as already had 23 kgs in hold.

I allways take a small suitcase as carry-on. This way I can take my expensive electronics like laptop and camera equipment with me. Also I allways take a set of fresh clothes with me, so I can freshen up and get changed about an hour before landing.

A lot of people hate having check in luggage, but personally i couldnt go with just a carry on. I know you can buy all of the clothes you need there, but the quality is poor. Also you cant take your aftershave etc in your carry on. To each there own.
