August Suites

LISBON

Recommended Posts

Booked my flight for my regular November trip a while ago but been having greater difficulty this year trying to find a decent mid-range hotel. After daily checks of all the usual .com sites I decided to email all the hotels in which I've stayed before plus a few others where I've never stayed. It worked, August Suites came us with the goods. 1700 baht and 150 for breakfast, if required. Very happy with this considering its high season and substantially cheaper than anywhere on the net. Hope this helps someone if they too are struggling to find a decent place.

April Suites is said to be nicer with lower rates, owned by the same folks. 1614 per night for the larger deluxe room in high season

I stayed at August Suites and would never recomend this hotel other than the great female staff, during my stay they turned air con off for lobby hallways and gym to save money, people were checking out after a day,any one fart in the room next to yours you will hear it,single pane balcony doors could not even keep the aircon noise out and if i see the main guy COLIN at the counter i might drag him out by his neck(he is sad little shit and a liar)i was stupid enuff to book it for my whole stay otherwise i would have left in a day add to that dont get stuck in the lift with a large fat bloke then again pattaya is full of these fat things!

What other Hotels did you price for November mate ??????

:001_Thank_You5:

Sorry for late reply, just been so busy at work, but need the money for the next trip!
I think that i emailed about 10 or 11 hotels asking for their best price for 15 nights 10-25 Nov.
(Prices in Baht or otherwise stated)
Page 10 offered 1999 for their base room. I emailed then again with a link on the web for 1690 and asked them to beat it, they never came back to me.
Tim Boutique just the same i found a web price 300 baht cheaper than their offer, they didn't reply.
Inn house offered me 1240 standard and 1480 deluxe if i become a member (2000)
but this allows you to book rooms for your mates also.
Citin Loft, just off Pattaya Klang, wouldn't go cheaper than their web specials even though
i emailed them a link to Travel Republic 15 nights £404 standard room and £508 for the 1 bed suite. Brill hotel stayed there 2 years ago.
Sea me Spring and Fraser Resorts failed to reply to 2 emails, their loss!
Woodlands 2300 wouldn't go less.
Nantra De Boutique still on the web for £20 they wouldn't come down
Bella Express was a decent place 18 months ago at 970 but now they wanted 1900!!!!
Finally August Suites offered me 1700 which was better than their web and also £10 a night cheaper than Agoda, in my opinion it will take a lot to beat this offer for the standard of the room and service.
Many great reviews also: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g293919-d1523868-Reviews-August_Suites-Pattaya_Chonburi_Province.html

Having stayed at August Suites 4 times (ranging from a 2 week stay on one trip to a full one month stay on my others) I would say this review is far from accurate. I feel this is one of the best hotels in Pattaya (having stayed at and or visited many others) and others I've talked to have agreed. I wanted to comment on your post to clear some misconceptions.

The gym often times will have the windows open and AC off when no one is using it, ie to help air everything out.. If you plan to use the gym simply close the windows and turn the AC on. The controls are in the gym (walk in the gym and open the door on the far right, the controls are located on the wall) and the AC is very efficient having three large vents inside the gym room. The room would cool off easily within 10 minutes when I was using the gym.

The rooms are quiet and it's very rare I would hear a neighbor. The only times I could hear someone else was if there was a loud laugh/scream and this was extremely rare. Of course this is dependent on your neighbor but if you do happen to have a unusually loud neighbor you can simply call the front desk. There is a notice when checking in and also I believe it's posted in the room that if you are very loud they have the right to contact you and also fine a small fee for repeated offenses. The balcony doors also keep the AC condenser noise to almost non existent and you can only really hear it if you have the balcony doors open..

I'm not sure who Colin is, did you mean Paul (the hotel manager, often wears glasses)? He is extremely friendly and him and Tee (lighter skinned lady manager) go above and beyond to make sure your stay is pleasant. In all my stays I have never seen an unpleasant customer, in fact the opposite, all big happy smiles!

Someday, somebody will ski that

are you always this happy ??.......I have spent a total of 46 nights at august suites, and this review is just totally wrong....there was no air con noise, and the rooms are super quiet...my wingman was next door last trip and he had 2 LBFM's back to the room several times and i did not hear a thing !! ....... i think your comment regarding fat dudes in the lift proves you're just having a whinge !! they did have the air con turned off in the gym a few times, but hey...i'm in there to sweat anyway....and BTW....who's Colin ??.....

That review had me puzzled as well I stayed at august suite twice and I can say it's a very good hotel .I honestly think this Goone guy has got the august suite everybody else knows mixed up with somewhere else .last trip I stayed at April suite which I found equally good though with smaller rooms but cheaper rates

Can you guys say how long did they take to reply/confirm your room booking? Since I'm heading there in a week and they haven't confirm my booking that I made on September 22.

I made a booking and paid 2000baht by visa card, they confirmed the same day, very efficient!

Stayed for a month during August and another two weeks in September.

Stayed a month 2 years ago as well.

Very Good hotel. Went and had a look at April Suites and was impressed

as its newer and fresher but the pool and gym are small, too small for me.

Noisy guests in the hallways were a problem a few times at August Suites

but that can happen anywhere. They do keep the air con off in the gym

but like someone said you can turn it on yourself. There are 3 units and

they work well. Its a hard hotel to fault. On the last day I checked out

and booked a taxi through the hotel for 5.30pm. I went back at 2pm and asked

if I could sit by the pool with my TGF until the taxi arrived, Miss Tee said as this wasn't

possible as we'd checked out, true enough but in the preceding 8 weeks I had spent well

over 50,000 Baht at AS. She must have sensed my anger as she then said it'd be ok

if bought a drink which I did. I also had shower 20 mins before the Taxi arrived.

Wasn't impressed by that but still had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone.

People have asked about taking girls to the pool. During my stay one older

guy took 4 girls in at once. Respect. Wonder how much It was costing him all

up. Respect x2.

Overspent my budget this trip so may look for a cheaper option next time dam it.

lol get stuck in an elevator with blokes with what looked like 46 to 50 inch waists then you'll understand, this not a pop i dont like being stuck in a lift with sweaty obese people man or woman espicially when suffering from jet lag and switched of aircon that hotel turned off, ererr those sweat patches dripping.

And no i dont look like a goone :) the attention most people pay for in pattaya is normal for me in the uk FREE so im not in the fugly falang category, heck i even had a shop assistant grope me,while visiting the hospital i heard nurses talking and looking at me and i heard one say longtime in english while looking at me :)i have some baccara stories but if i carry on i'll just get hate that is the norm on this forum from the sad envious type,do i sound like a big head YES but i'll PROVE what i say to anyone 100% next time if i go out there and post my arrival date so we can do a gogo crawl

last day at August Suites departure day i left some items on purpose on the bed, lighter, refill and some toiletries as a test,as i was leaving i asked the head man colin if i left anything in the room he said no(this is crime and theft)i took the hotel car to airport and mentioned it to the driver ,mentioned police, calling august suite owners to sack him ,the look on the drivers face was priceless and begged me not to do it.

Anyways wont be staying there again maybe visit to say hello to a few ladie staff that i got on well with, they had some funny stories about the falangs who stay there.

waits for the hate

rant over back to the gym :)

so you are saying that fat sweaty guys only go to the august suite hotel then, i think not. and the attention you boast about, i hate to be the one to break it to you, but everybody gets that sort of attention in pattaya, not just you. and you are telling us you are gonna prove what a good looking handsome man you are, well thats easy, just post a pic of yourself and let us see just how fantasticly good looking you are. just hope you are never in pattaya when i am there, there will be no women left for me.

There seems to be two schools of opinion.
Yours and that of everyone else.

Perhaps you should notify Interpol of the fact that your
detritus which you were too lazy to place in the bin
was placed there by the August suites staff without you
being notified.

As for hate we generally follow the mantra of Mister T
when it comes to posters like you. Don't Hate the fool, Pity the fool.

I will be stoping in August suites in November, I emailed the hotel direct on [email protected] and was told the price in November was 1800THB a night with out breakfast. That's for a pool side room. Suits me as other BM's have said it's a nice hotel with a good location. I will write a review once my trip is completed.

Are you sure you stayed at August Suites? This is the hotel off Pattaya Klang (central pattaya rd.) with the orange sign, ya?

I have no idea who this "Colin" guy you are referring to. The main guy who manages the staff during the day is Paul, he is a skinny guy with fairly dark skin, often wears glasses. Once again your experience was the exact opposite of mine. I accidentally left my bathing suit on the balcony when checking out during one of my stays and when the staff was checking my room they saw the bathing suit and immediately ran it down to me.

I hate to say it but you don't seem like an honest/fair guy based on the attitude you display on this forum.

Someday, somebody will ski that
