Hire A Driver To Tour Around Isaan

I want to hire a driver to tour around Isaan, what do you guys recommend, and roughly how much does it costs/day?

I got a taxi driver to take me up to Buriram from Pattaya a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly he charged me either 3500THB or 3000THB at the time. He was quite happy to hang around for two days (staying with relatives I assume) and then take me to Bangkok two days later for 2000THB. These prices are probably out of date now but may help to give you a starting point.
