Pattaya addicts top 14 agoda hotels

True but you can always negotiate a price with the hotel directly.

Some hotels are always cheaper online than they are for 'walk ins' I am merely pointing it out I was told by one hotel in Bangkok that they could not match or undercut Agoda - it was their policy

I have stayed twice at Sabai Lodge in Soi 2. I stayed in the Large Pool Building A, ground floor, because it was spacious, and had a bathtub, which I prefer. (The ladies liked it too.) Each room at that end has a private covered terrace, a view of the garden, and a large pool beyond. There are other pools in the complex, I believe.

It's an easy walk down to the Beach Road (corner with the A-One Hotel), and is easily accessed from the baht buses along Second Road. You get off at Sabai Dee Massage Palace, (which is well worth a visit), and stroll down the hill. You pass several open-air bars on the left, some with live music, and on the right You'll see Lek's Classroom 2 Agogo, with good old pop music and some beautiful "schoolgirls". Give my love to Tay, if you see her! Next Door is the Honey Pot Coyote Bar with a very good live band, where the girls dance on the windowsills to attract the passing punters. Joy is raunchy, and will make you feel so-o-o Joyful !

I believe several of these places no longer exist and have been knocked down to be replaced by hotels - there is a thread about it somewhere

I think your dreaming, there are places that are done up nice and are guesthouses. But I don't think you will get that quality with hotels! April suites on the list is meant to be new and cheap!

How far away is April Suites from all the action like Soi 6. Is it walkable?

Thanks

Areca Lodge wad the best for me. good breakfast, friendly staff, girl friendly, clean and good value.

I love the location too! I stay in the Evergreen wing, relatively new.

It is usually difficult to have a good combination of price –Location – quality for a normal hotel. It is really an art of experienced people and depends on taste and budget. I have never stayed at none of above hotels but I think everybody can find his suitable desired hotel in pattaya especially during none high season

What is the price per night in the Evergreen wing? Thanks

Booked in evergreen for 2 weeks in November at 1,850baht per night. Price is the same with Agoda, Sawadee and direct with Areca (can get a loyalty card with Areca that gets you a discount too). Older rooms are undergoing renovation from now to end of november so maybe worth risking if your trip is after november, although book quick as they get busy in high season. Stayed in a pool view room a while ago and definitely in need of the renovation. Other good thing about Areca is they hold their price all year with theexception of only a real short period over Christmas.

Also stayed many times in Sabai Lodge, pool view rooms with balcony in the sabai wing end - a balcony is 1 of my requirements along with a pool, would stay again but location isn't the best for me. Best plan for here is to book somewhere for 1 or 2 nights and turn up at the desk, they normally offer better deals like this.

More recently being staying at the LK Metro which is my preferred place (superior size room) but their prices go up between October and March so feels wrong paying 3,200 baht for a room you were getting for 2,000baht only a couple of months before.

Haven't stayed in any of the others on the list but am surprised that the siam bayview is mentioned at all, as everytime I have searched this hotel it comes out as very unfriendly for guests. Would appreciate any clarity on this if anyone knows.

Stayed at the Asia hotel in Jomtien on my first trip to Pattaya ,not recommended for single guys ( pay for guests ) and too far from all entertainment . My next trip stayed Sunshine Residence Soi 8 - good hotel, value for money and guests friendly and then Baboona Beach on Beach Road - very good hotel with nice sea view and also guests friendly.

For 30 bucks more you could stay at the Hilton --------Evergreen/evergot a Hilton REWARDS card?-----won't leave home without it! Many people stay in Pattaya for a month or more and the Evergreen will do fine. A Studio room for 1 month 25,000 baht (Slow Season) with no maid service--add 200 baht a day. Great servive with a smile----better tip (100 bah)or no towel. Filtered foul mouthed --Priceless---(Get me OUTTA this Prison).

This place has it's bonuses. Close to Bar's

Minuses: .

Advice: Front desk girl will carry both your bags (in her mouth) for a tip. (600 Baht)

Not true.

Some you can, yes, but you can't "always negotiate a price with the hotel directly". I've even seen guys book through Agoda online in the lobby of a hotel because staff was unwilling to match the price shown on Agoda!

On my last trip, I booked directly with the hotel, but it's a smaller one that's not generally talked about by mongers.

From the 20th Dec I am leaving Pattaya bound elsewhere because I refuse the ATM treatment and 1000bt plus bar fines for ST only. In July I stayed at LK Metro region, and will avoid WS until they get real. WS was really thinned out, but prices were out of whack with demand.

You're sure showing them! Let me know when they decide to capitulate.

Did not vote for this hotel but stayed at Sabai Lodge for about one week last year but did not like this hotel. The wing I stayed at, the rooms where quite dark and had no balcony's. And if you wanted to work on your tan, you had to move around because the buildings surrounding the pool area cast a shadow.
Location of the hotel is good though.
