What do guys know about The Moonlight Place on Soi Honey near Soi Buakhao?

I know when I was collecting joiner policy letters they tried to pretend they didn't know what I was talking about.  [eye roll]

According to agoda stats, these are the top 14 hotels in Pattaya that our forum members stay at. (not in order)

Most of these hotels get full especially during high season, so its good to prebook them early! Then you don't need to find another hotel (disturb your mongering) and so you don't use your short time cash on hotel funds.

They are all girl friendly, if any policies change on that, I will remove them from our poll.

Please vote, which one is the all round best? price, location and quality

I was in Pattaya for a month March 2016. I stayed in VT6 which I thought was pretty good. Thinking about coming for a month again in March 2017 and would like to stay there again but not sure if the construction on the empty lot next door is underway or how noisy it is if it has started. Any info much appreciated.

Did you end up staying there or finding an answer to your question? I am considering staying there on my first visit to Pattaya in December and I wasn't aware there would be construction nearby.

I dont know how things will turn out in December but Im typing this on the balcony of a 21st floor room right now while Im sipping my coffee, there's no construction going on at the moment and doesnt look like there will be for quite some time. I just took this photo 3 minutes ago, you cant get more live time than that:D Living the dream:P

Yeah we've had some bad weather in the last couple of days but the sun's up and Im enjoying the breeze, honestly life couldnt get better unless I won the lotto. December is also a very busy time where prices go up as well as Ive stayed here once on a new year, make sure you book in advance.

Appreciate the advice. Will book something as soon as I decide how long to stay in Pattaya for as opposed to Bangkok.

Who did you book the room through? Any photos of the room would also be gratefully received.

I postponed my visit and I'm coming now in November as plans stand at the moment. The construction question has been answered as per the above.

That's outstanding mate, did you get a choice of room booking via Agoda or were you just assigned one?

I didn't mean to be the cause of a domestic lol

The option to choose the room upon check-in is there on Agoda but I think its about 250-300 baht a night more, I chose the lesser 'Studio with Seaview' option, also 'Dancewatchers' has some damn nice rooms as well, maybe a touch more expensive but you do get to see the room you are paying for. I think with Dancewatchers you have to pay for cleaning, there's a whole bunch of agents/offices on the main entry level that are renting rooms, these are some of them that actually have offices here,

http://www.condo6.com/

and the Dancewatchers website, a little confusing to navigate around,

Im checking out into another room in 2 days time, for anonymity purposes, I will disclose full room details with room number and pictures then.

Appreciated and understood.

I'll consider my budget and then decide who is best to book with.

And what are you doing up so early...............or is it late? :D

I remember I have seen a poll for the best hotels but I can no longer find it.

Can some friendly soul assist me with a link please?

I was sure it was this thread but the first post is just names of hotels and links to Agoda for them.

The Whitehouse Condotel is great.

Stayed in a couple of places in that Soi. It's my favourite Soi. Quiet but easy walk to almost everywhere.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Basaya Beach hotel in Central Pattaya before? It's looks decent on Agoda, and the rate is really nice when I'm thinking about going in November. Only $23 per night.

Siam Bayshore is a very classy place in a great location. Walk out the door and jump on the BR Baht bus and you're at WS in a jif. Just as easy on the way back on 2nd Street, get off right at the hotel.  Very short walk to Central Festival for shopping/eating/movies, etc. Lots of small beer bars in sois off 2nd nearby, and short walk to Sois 7 and 8. Jump on the 2nd St. Baht bus headed north, short trip to Soi 6.  Or cut down the alley through Made Thailand, or through Soi Diana to get to Soi Buakhaow and LK Metro gogos.

Oh, and lest I forget, the beach is across the street.  lol

Location is hard to beat, IMHO.

Rooms, staff, service, and food are top notch. Not cheap. but you get what you pay for.

Pattaya Blue Sky on soi 5 gets my vote.  It's a fairly new hotel, girl friendly, on a quiet soi and the rooms are spacious and clean.  The only issue I had there was that some of the rooms don't have much of a view and look out to the hotel directly across but other than that I enjoyed my stay there.  The staff hit the right note for me, not overly friendly but accommodating and not indifferent either.  I paid about $36 US per night back in November\December 2015 and just booked again for 3 weeks for $41 US per night for my trip coming up this November so they've gone up a little.  But still a good value for the money and they seem to sell out fast these days.

Also, there's an excellent massage place right across from the hotel.  I haven't enquired about extras(don't like to crap where I eat so to say) but they do give an excellent massage.  There's a nice pool on top and a small gym if you like to work out and it's located about 150 yards from the beach.

The cleaning staff are excellent and they adjusted their cleaning time of my room because of my night owlish ways.  Of course, a little tip goes a long way.  I can't speak on the breakfast buffet as I never made it down there in time but otherwise the food was decent.

With Soi 6 being close by, the location of Blue Sky is hard to beat.

I read in another forum somewhere recently that Siam Bayshore is no longer girl friendly. Haven't confirmed this personally but it'd be worth double checking before booking

I stayed at Baywalked Residence last year. $42 per night. I got a free upgrade as the type of room I had booked was full.

Location was fantastic for me! Right on beach front,  500m. from entrance of Walking Street. Nice rooftop pool. The room was rather big, modern, quite and clean with very good shower. Girl friendly of course;)
