Personally I think there is more to this story, I know the Authorities are a bit harsh sometimes but in the circumstances above they will not bang you up like this after coming out of hospital, I did hear that he was several months over stay & got aggressive with the Police but that is hear say so not sure if true.

Yes, I agree with that. I was hospitalised in ICU with a heart rumble and during my time in the same hospital, the Registrar came to see if I needed anything. I was very aware of my retirement visa running out within ten days. They offered to do everything to enable me to fulfill my obligations. As it happened, I was discharged and managed to get to Immigration under my own steam.

 

I cannot believe that the police would be so callous. I have found them most helpful and, indeed, considerate when it comes to less than mobile individuals. Corruption exists, but not against the impaired.

 

Perhaps he should change his authors from Stephen Leather/Jake Needham to somebody less likely to inveigle his fertile imagination.
