The forum's search feature

I have tried using the forum's advanced search, but the search results weren't compliant with the search criteria.

 

For example, searching for:

- bee office

- match "all words"

returned also topics where only one of the words appeared, also on partial matches, i.e. beer or been

so, that wasn't very helpful

 

Searching for

- " bee " "the office"

- match "all words"

still returned the same as above, plus all posts where "the" appeared!!!

 

Searching for

- " bee " "office"

- match "all words"

still returned the same as above

 

' " bee " AND "office" ' as a search string made no difference.

 

So... the search feature doesn't seem to work as intended.

Is there any way to improve this?

 

Also, searching for my friend "Ae" is a bit frustrating, because the board search ignores words of less than three letters.

Enter this into google...

 

site:www.pattaya-addicts.com bee office

 

You will find what you are looking for.

 

Think about how hard the server would have to work searching every three and two letter word in 1339014...5...6...7 posts, that's why we don't allow 2-3 words searches.
