TATTOOS is very popular in THAILAND, and very cheap respect EUROPE or other part of the WORLD, most of the tourists arrive in THAI, they look for a tattoo, like a souvenir from the counrty, or some they are more intrusted to have a cool big tattoo done

THE FIRST THING THAT A TOURIST GONNA CECK IS ABOUT THE PRICE, THEY ALL WANNA HAVE A CHEAP TATTOO, JUST A VERY SAMLL QUANTITY OF TOURISTS THEY LOOK FOR QUALITY AND HIGIENE STANDARD

 

well im from ITALY, im a TATTOO ARTIST since 2004, i travel all around the world , done TATTOO CONVENTION and work in many different shop, so i know what i sty write here now

 

95% OF THE TATTOO SHOP IN ALL THAI, NOT JUST IN PATTAYA, THEY DON HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT IS HIGIENE STANDARD, THEY DON STERILIZED HIS EQUIPMENT, THEY DON HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT CROSS CONTAMINATION

GET TATTOOS IN THAI IS VERY DANGEROUS, MOST OF THE SHOP ARE SMALL, NOT CLEAN, EVEN OPEN AT AIR, THEY DON USE STEAM AUTOCLAVE FOR STERILIZED HIS EQUIPMENT, AND THE THAI ARTISTS DON EVEN CARE ABOUT THIS, THEY JUST DONE TATTOOS, THAT'S ALL

THE RISK TO CONTRACT SOME VIRUS FROM TATTOOS, IS THE SAME AT DENTISTS, SO CAN U IMMAGINE HAVE A DENTIST CLINIC LIKE MOST OF THE TATTOO SHOP IN PATTAYA? WHO GONNA GO FOR REPaIR HIS TEETH ?

Thanks for the heads up. As it happens I was planning on getting one in Thailand, but not one using a machine, a bamboo one. Basically the way my trip is planned I want to get it so it has time to heal before I hit the beach areas so it will have to be in Chiang Mai. I have done some looking around and a lot of people have recommended De Ja Vu Tattoo Chiang Mai. What you reckon?

I suppose I could always ask them if they sterilise their equipment but even with a well known place would you still advise against it?

Boys,Boys relax, i have full Leg Sleeves, full Arm Sleeves, Chest and Back pieces done, and Feet. Some with Gun, some with Bamboo and NEVER had an issue except one time here in the U.K.

 

All the advice listed does make sense, but do not become Paranoid.

 

One thing that i NEVER see listed, and am aware of happening on a regular basis is,, after Joe Bloggs come in, picks his Tat, asks the correct questions etc, has the work done and fucks off happy, WHAT HAPPENS TO THE INK THAT HAS BEEN PUT INTO CLEAN POTS FOR HIM ?

 

Sometimes Guys it get PUT BACK. That right put back in the main container. This is after it has been dipped in an out your Skin carrying your Blood. Bet that has never occurred eh.

 

Anyway i have a set of shots from start to finish of a Bamboo cover up, carried out on the other half in March this Yr if anybody wants to see.

 

And Chaing Mai has Two Bamboo places ( cannot remember Names )both really good i know of about Ten Mins walk from the Night Market.

Being Mr Cynical it seems this is a bit of a sales pitch.

 

I got tattoos done from Thailand, Amsterdam, UK and Russia and never had any problems.

And first thing you want to look at in a Tattoo Shop is his feckin standard of work not the bloody autoclave.

 

I am clean and could do you a Tat 100 Percent safe and Sterile but it would look like shit as I cannot draw for Toffee.

 

Get a Henna Tattoo oops forgot they not safe either are they ?

i got a nice one in Philippines and they were very clean in boracay cost around 5000 peso and is equivelent to a 600 aud job here were i live hoping to get add on in pattaya will try post a photo really nice wrk all tattoo artist comment on it whenever im in there shop

not sure i would list Thailand as a 3rd World Country in maybe the sense you mean.

 

Bangkok and many other Sites (IMO), put somewhere say like London, to Shame.

 

Hence the reason MANY Tourists that come just for Dental Treatment and Surgery. This is FAR more risky than say Tattoos,yes ?

 

I also like you, would not Tattoo myself here, or in Thailand because i am not an Artist 555555

 

Not sure about Monies before Standards !!! the original Poster seems to be bigging himself up, or certains shops.

 

If you read an earlier reply, i state i am covered in Tattoos done here and many parts of the World. Done with a Gun or Bamboo and the only issue was here in the UK which surely is not 3rd World yes ?

so whats your guidelines? what do you check in a place before you go there? how can you be shure its a safe place? if its your country you can get a recommendation from somebody you know, in my country the health department inspect this places regularly, but it Thailand who sets the standard?

look for autoclave machines always watch the artist to make sure he gets a new needle out of a sealed packet cheak the chairs if there dirty not a good sign overall cleanliness of shop make sure he wears gloves when he works the table they lay there gun out on usualy like a metal tray like u see dentists and surgens use is coverd with clean fresh gladwrap and that he doesnt just dip his gun into the ink pots they should use the little trays u see artists use hope u sorta understand wat im saying its hard to describe when i dnt know correct names but these are a few things to watch out for

There are a number of good tattoo shops in pattaya as is there elsewhere in Thailand and thay are every bit as hygenic as anywhere in the world

 

Too be honest looking at your posted work here, much better artists too

 

and while all of this advice is being handed out non here, make sure you check out what inks they are using..........................
