what is your camera

I carry an Olympus SP590UJ during the day (point and shoot with 26 X zoom), old model now, cost me around $400AUD from memory. At night I hang an Olympus U-Tough off my belt, also point and shoot and a couple of years old, but waterproof and reliable. That cost $200AUD (floor stock).

Both are fine for a ham-fisted amateur like mebiggrin.gif.

Cheers

Nikon D7000

$1400-ish (with lens)

I've got 3 lenses ranging from 18mm to 300mm and an SB-900 Speedlight. For now, I'm quite happy with my set-up.

Having broken 2 Canon S90s this year, I'm now on the S95, the true monger's camera to whip out for any occasion.

Hopefully I can keep it intact until the S100 comes out.

I also have Mr Dom's old Nikon D40 & accs, which still does a good job IMO........when I can be bothered to lug it about.

Then there's theSony HDR-TG3 Handycam for HD vdo and pics.

My big camera, used for special occasions, is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30. The image quality of this 35–420mm Leica lens is remarkable. This model is a bit dated today but still serves me well when I need extra good quality images.

My little camera, used for everyday shots (what we used to call "snaps") is a Nikon Coolpix.

I've got a Nikon D70 which i used a lot when i first came to Pattaya but to be honest now i can't be bothered to lug it around, just used the camera on my Samsung Galaxy S2 which gives very good shots.

Anyone want to buy a Nikon D70 cheap?

Great to see that so many here take an SLR. May I ask do you leave it indoors in the evenings or take it out? I think I'd feel too wary of getting it all fkd up whilst being in a drunken state or worse losing it.
